Exhibition | AT THE CROSSROADS OF THE WORLDS OF HORSE: THE NATIONAL STUD FARM AND THE CADRE NOIR

The French Horse and Riding Institute (IFCE), which today federates the Cadre Noir and the National Stud Farms, is hosted at the Cavalry Museum to offer the public a look at the history of the horse in France.

The usefulness and companionship of the horse gave birth to these two institutions that maintain and develop extraordinary techniques: a tangible and intangible heritage that now falls to the IFCE.

This temporary exhibition presents more than 300 years of French equestrian know-how, through objects and documents and insists more particularly on the practice of French horsemanship and traditional harnessing, horse-drawn carriages, saddlery, genetics and breeds.

To visit this exhibition, the Musée de la Cavalerie welcomes you from July 1 to August 31 from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m., every day, and until November 12 from 11 a.m. to 17 p.m., every day except Thursday.
